The African continent was made up of countries ‘belonging’ to the countries of Europe, Britain, France, Spain etc., The military bands in their countries were mainly run by a European Bandmaster many of whom were trained at Kneller Hall, the home of Army Music in Britain.
Many of the Countries have Police Bands only.
Jerome always found great difficulty in obtaining information from these bands; consequently many of the files only contain a letter and maybe one picture
